In 2019, the Union Rescue Mission (URM) sought additional shelter space to support unhoused and vulnerable women in Skid Row, Los Angeles, as homelessness in the neighborhood continued to rise.

Sprung delivered a fully insulated, clear-span structure measuring 12.2 m × 32.0 m (40’ × 105’) that is code-compliant and designed for safety and comfort. Shipped within three weeks and constructed quickly and cost-effectively, the facility provides a secure environment for women in need.

Installed on a rear parking lot, the site integrates wraparound services and has also been temporarily used by the Los Angeles Health Department during the COVID-19 pandemic to support medical needs.
