After Hurricane Michael made landfall in Bay County, Florida, as a devastating Category 5 storm in October 2018, several fire stations were destroyed, creating an urgent need to restore emergency response capabilities.
Sprung delivered two fully insulated fire station structures to replace the damaged facilities in Southport and Hiland Park. Funded through FEMA, the project was completed at one-third the cost of traditional construction and within six months of the contract award. Both structures were engineered to meet Miami-Dade County hurricane code compliance, ensuring long-term safety and resilience.
