As part of the U.S. Army’s “Grow the Army” initiative in 2005, Fort Bliss required upgrades to support an expanded force of nearly 75,000 soldiers, including a Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) gymnasium.

Sprung delivered a cost-effective, durable, fully insulated structure using patented tensioned membrane technology. The clear-span design created an open, aesthetically pleasing space for recreational and training activities. In addition, 10 more Sprung structures were provided to serve various other needs on the base.
